Presidential Message

August 9, 2016

Welcome to the 2016-2017 Alamo ASHRAE year! I’m really excited to be serving as the Alamo chapter president this term, especially when I think about all of the awesome people whose footsteps I am following in. I want to take this moment to thank all of our past presidents and members who have given their time to serve the Alamo ASHRAE chapter and build it to what we enjoy today. We have a great group of hard working individuals this year who have volunteered to chair our key areas of focus that keep this chapter running, and I’m excited to work with them.

We are going to try and make this year fun and educational for all of our members, but if you have any input / concerns / questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself or any of our officers and we will assist you the best we can.

Every year we have a kickoff party for the year where we get together and catch up with friends and colleagues and get prepared for the new year ahead. This year our kickoff party is going to be on Wednesday, August 18th, at Tacos and Tequila from 4pm to 7pm on Broadway. Checkout the Upcoming Events section of the website for more information. I would love to see everyone there as it will be a good time…and there will possibly be some giveaways as well.

We have a bunch of great things planned for this year so please keep an eye out for the announcements via our website. If you aren’t receiving emails from the website, please let us know and we can get you on the list. If you’re like me and haven’t renewed your ASHRAE membership just yet, please take the time to do so. Our ultimate goal as a chapter is to support ASHRAE’s commitment to energy efficient building systems, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability. Keeping our memberships active does just that and we only have to do it once a year.

I’m looking forward to a great year with great people.
